At the LOFFT (Theaterhaus Leipzig),
Lindenauer Markt 21,
04177 Leipzig

Watching dance in a theater usually simply means consuming a "finished product". The choices and decisions that went into making that product are not revealed. "Saal A" examines the stories behind the movements and styles: where did they come from? What people, places or phases in their lives do dancers associate with their vocabulary? Three young dancers, whose only similarity is an affinity to hip hop, travel along an amusing road back into their own biographies, share them on stage with their partners. Saal A creates a web of stories, moods and memories and shows how much knowledge and life is contained in a dancer's styles and movements.

The production of art, no matter in which form, more or less resembles a game of strategy. In the beginning, there is always the decision for or against a certain form, aesthetic, convention, topic or specific medium. But every decision is also fundamentally influenced by the perspective, which it is based on. This perspective not only determines the production strategy, but equally the reception of the respective work of art. For many years now, artists have gone in search of new perspectives and borrowed and sampled from other genres. Artistic strategies are transferred from one field into another. In the space between friction develops, releasing something new and suggesting again new approaches.

For "Posed", Christoph Winkler is joined by four performers from the fields of contemporary dance, drama, performance art and hip-hop in an attempt to grasp these moments of translation and mutual artistic penetration of art forms.
